After Many Days (AMD) is a 5-piece rock band whose members have different geographic and artistic origins. After rehearsing for several months, they recorded "After Many Days", their first E.P., during June 2008 and produced by La Crème Records in January 2009. It includes four exuberant and energetic tracks full of detail in their arrangements.They like to reverse their original ideas using new and complex structures and forms. Their first production has stood out in the metal production of Spain. Also, due to their lyrics in several languages (French, English, Spanish), AMD have received excellent responses from around the world.
AMD have been short listed in the regional RPM Coyote contest in May 2009 (Cartagena, Spain). During their first three months alone they have performed in over 15 concerts. Most of these took place in the 2nd La Crème Festival and as a support act to Spanish Band Sou Edipo, during their South-Eastern 2009 Tour. The year 2009 ended with their performance in the most representative festival of new music in the South Eastern Spain.
AMD started recording a 2nd E.P. in July 2009, produced during the following months and its release is planned for March 2010. This second work is entitled "Fake Hype" (released by La Crème Records, distributed by A New Label). At the same time, AMD have been involved in a very fruitful collaboration with the Tresorg Imagenación (TI) group in the creation of art through video.
In conjunction with TI, AMD have created an evocative collection of images and videos to be projected live, giving visual narration to their songs. A unique message of promised freedom is conveyed by music and image channelling the band's energy.
AMD is something more than Modern Metal as it shows a boundless, expressive potential that flows between Rock and Jazz, Hardcore and Hip Hop or Funk and Progressive Rock. This evokes the indie approach of French bands like Watcha and Pleymo, in a realm which is invigorated by the sheer groove of urban music.
In their last compositions they have taken on-board a violin player, a D.J. and several singers. AMD is surely one of the bands with the most international hold in Spanish Metal.
